Nurpur, January 21

A house was gutted in fire at Chaloh village in Indora sub division of Kangra district this evening. A woman identified as Raj Kumari (62) has sustained serious burn injuries as she was present alone in the house when the fire broke out. Her son also sustained minor burn injuries while trying to save the household items. The villagers rushed to the spot and rescued the woman and also doused the flames.

The SDM reached the spot upon getting the information. The woman has been referred to Nurpur civil hospital. The administration has given Rs 20,000 to the family as immediate relief and the Tehsildar has been instructed to assess the loss.
