The Ministry of Education has included Rajesh Sharma, Samagra Shiksha Director, Himachal Pradesh, in the working group that will participate in the fifth national conference of Chief Secretaries scheduled to be held in November.

While the overarching theme of the conference is ‘Human Capital for Viksit Bharat’, the working group formed by the Ministry of Education will work on the sub-theme ‘Schooling: Building Blocks’.

The working group will comprise 19 members. While six members will be from the Ministry of Education and other Union Ministries, nine members have been inducted into the group from various states. The remaining four members have been drawn from expert bodies like Pratham Education Foundation and UNICEF.

The working group will deliberate on various aspects related to schooling and its building blocks, including focus on basic education, outcome-based education, quality of education, key areas of improvement, best practices and challenges.
