More than 900 students participated in the induction programme recently organised by the International Centre for Distance Education and Open Learning (ICDEOL), Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, for students of the academic session 2024-25.

About 900 students attended the programme digitally, while 50 students attended the programme in person.

Faculty members and non-teaching staffer were also present at the event, which was inaugurated by the CDOE Director Sanju Karol, who highlighted the centre’s commitment to providing quality higher education opportunities to students. Thousands of students benefitted from the centre’s programmes each year, she added.

The programme was conducted by Dr Pallavi Bhardwaj, with Dr Arun Singh Guleria serving as the programme coordinator. Dr Guleria welcomed the students, faculty members and non-teaching staff.

Dr Joginder Singh Saklani led an interactive session interactive at the event. He also addressed students’ queries and resolved their issues.
