A key decision made during the meeting was the formation of a committee to create criteria for selecting teams for the Inter University Championships. Dr Gopal Chauhan, principal of Rajeev Gandhi Government Degree College, Chaura Maidan, was appointed chairman of the committee, with Dr Kuldip Singh, Dr Ramesh Chauhan, Dr Pravesh Sharma and Dr Sunil Sen appointed as members.

Additionally, the Executive Board decided to deploy one member of the Board to oversee the smooth conduct of the Himachal Pradesh University Inter College Youth Festivals (Group I to IV) championships.

To enhance the knowledge of rules and regulations in athletics and other sports, the Board also agreed to conduct a three-to-four-day workshop for assistant/associate professors of physical education from member colleges.

The workshop would be funded from sports entry fees or unutilised funds from the Directorate of Physical Education & Youth Programme’s budget. Travel and dearness allowances for participants would be covered by their respective colleges.
