The Himachal Power Engineers’ Association (HPEA) has condemned HPSEBL chairman Sanjay Gupta for his letter to HPSEBL Managing Director Sandeep Kumar, calling it disrespectful. The association alleged that the chairman used the word ‘pretext’ to describe genuine life events such as a son’s marriage and the death of a mother-in-law in the letter. Objecting to the use of such personal issues to get across a point by the head of an organisation, the association said it showed how the organisation was being run.

It may be mentioned here that HPSEBL MD had written a letter to the chairman, accusing Director (Finance) of overstepping his authority. In response, the chairman wrote back to MD seeking answer to several questions.

The HPEA has urged Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to intervene in the matter before matters escalate.
