The HP State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) has earned additional revenue of Rs 109.41 crore by generating electricity exceeding the targets from its hydel projects during 2019-20 — this revenue has been calculated on a national average power purchase cost of Rs 3.60 per KWh.

The 126 MW Larji Hydel Project, 120 MW Sanjay Jal Vidyut Pariyojana, 66 MW Bassi power project and the 60 MW Giri project are the major projects of the HPSEB.

These projects, along with some other smaller ones such as 22.5 MW Ghanvi-I, 16.95 MW Andhra, 10 MW Ghanvi-II, 6 MW Binwa and 10.50 MW Gaj, have performed exceedingly well. —TNS
