The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) will offer 10 to 30 per cent discount on room tariff in its 53 hotels across the state from November 1-20. However, the discount will not be applicable in Bushehar Regency, Rampur, during the Lavi fair from November 11-15 and at Hotel Renukaji during Renuka Fair from November 11-15. The HPTDC will also not offer any discount from November 1-20 in its three properties – Willy’s Park in Shimla, The Suket, Sundernagar, and The Spiti, Kaza.

The discount has been announced to attract tourists to the state. The tourist footfall is gradually increasing and the discounted rates in HPTDC hotels across the state are likely to act as an additional incentive to the tourists.

Majority of the HPTDC hotels are in the red and the government recently formed a one-member committee to turn around the financial health of these hotels. The one-member committee will submit its recommendations to the government within six months.
