Hamirpur, July 13
The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) became the first university to declare B.Tech results in the country amid the coronavirus pandemic, here today.
As many as 1,371 students qualified the B.Tech examination declared by the HPTU in different disciplines, including civil engineering, information technology, electronics and communication, electrical engineering, mechnical engineering, textile engineering, electrical and electronics engineering and automobile engineering.
SP Bansal, Vice-Chancellor of the university, said the results declared were of those 1,371 students who appeared in the final examination of the eighth semester and had successfully completed their project works and industrial projects. He said the HPTU was the first university in the country to declare the B.Tech results amid the pandemic.
He said the initiative was aimed at saving the precious time of students who wanted to take up higher studies or jobs.
