Prof Mahavir Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), met Dr Mohammad Rehan, Director General of the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), in New Delhi on Monday to explore avenues of collaboration and mutual benefit between the two institutions.

During the meeting, both dignitaries discussed potential areas of cooperation in the field of solar energy. Prof Singh extended an invitation to Dr Rehan to attend HPU’s upcoming Foundation Day as a special guest.

The Vice-Chancellor further announced that the university intends to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NISE in the near future to formalise their collaboration.

“Working with such a premier institute will not only benefit the university but will also contribute to the growth of solar energy production in Himachal Pradesh,” he said.
