Shimla: Prof Shyam Lal Kaushal of Himachal Pradesh University Business School was appointed as the Controller of Examination of Himachal Pradesh University on Tuesday. He will replace Dr JS Negi, who recently retired from the service. As per the notification, Kaushal will continue to perform his current duties along with the duties of the Controller of Examination till further orders. Prof Mamta Mokta of Department of Public Administration was appointed as Dean Student Welfare.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
