According to the Annual Sports and Youth Activity Calendar for the academic year 2025-26, the sporting calendar kicks off with the men’s kabaddi tournament at Government College (GC), Nadaun, from September 24 to 27. This will be followed by shooting (men and women) at GC, Seema, Rohru, on September 29-30, wrestling (men) at GC, Daulatpur Chowk, Una, on October 3-4 and cross-country (men and women) at GC, Sangrah, on September 30.
Other major fixtures include volleyball (men) at Gautam College, Hamirpur, from October 7-9, judo (men and women) at GC, Solan, on October 8-9 and badminton (men) at Chaura Maidan GC, Shimla, from October 13-15. Football (men) will be contested at GC, Chamba, from October 28-31, while boxing (men) will be held at GC, Nagrota, on the same dates. Table tennis (men) is scheduled at GC, Saraswatinagar, Sawra, on October 30-31 and basketball (men) at MCM DAV, Kangra, from November 4-6.
Taekwondo (men and women) will be hosted at RKMV, Shimla, from November 6-8, chess (men and women) at Sanskrit College, Nahan, from November 18-20, weightlifting (men and women) at GC, Amb, from November 20-22, athletics (men and women) at GC, Bilaspur, from December 2-4 and hockey (men and women) at GC, Una, from December 7-9.
Alongside sports, a rich lineup of cultural competitions will begin on October 13. Group I (creativity) events, including debate (English and Hindi), elocution, collage, poster making, clay modelling, cartooning, rangoli, quiz and on-the-spot painting, will be held at GC, Nahan, from October 13-15.
Group II (Music) events such as classical vocals, western vocals, folk songs, group songs, folk orchestra and Indian light vocals will take place at GC, Sanjauli, from November 4-7. Group III (Dance), featuring classical, folk/tribal, and choreography performances, is scheduled for GC, Una, from November 12-14. The season will conclude with Group IV (Theatre) events, including one-act plays, skits, mime and mimicry, at GC, Bilaspur, from November 26-29.
