In a major step toward strengthening higher education in Himachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) to foster academic and institutional collaboration.

The agreement paves the way for exchange of students and faculty, joint research, publications, training programmes and academic events. Both universities have committed to developing collaborative projects and initiatives in a spirit of partnership.

The MoU was signed during the Foundation Week of HPNLU, where Prof (Dr) Mahavir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, HPU, was the chief guest. The event also witnessed the presence of Prof (Dr) Priti Saxena, VC, HPNLU, Prof (Dr) SC Raina, Founding VC of HPNLU and Prof (Dr) V Vijayakumar, VC, NLIU Bhopal.

Prof Singh said the collaboration would “encourage academic events, teaching, training and research, while promoting interdisciplinary exploration between law and other sciences.” He also urged students and faculty members to participate actively in seminars, conferences, joint projects and academic exchanges.
