The event, held on Tuesday, focused on the collection of plastic waste, including bags, bottles and other non-biodegradable materials, as part of a larger mission to raise environmental consciousness and promote responsible waste management.

As part of the drive, students actively reached out to the campus community, encouraging everyone to participate in the cleanup effort. The partnership with Bisleri’s initiative helped strengthen the message of individual responsibility in protecting the environment and reducing plastic pollution.

Prof Shashikant Sharma, Chairman of the Department, praised the students’ dedication and said, “Our power lies in the choices we make and our planet is depending on us to make the right ones. By coming together, we are not just cleaning our campus; we are making a powerful statement about our commitment to a more sustainable future.”

The initiative served as a reminder that small, collective actions can lead to significant environmental impact, aligning with the spirit of Earth Day to build a cleaner and greener tomorrow.
