Drivers and conductors of two HRTC buses were put in quarantine today after a youth, who travelled by the buses from Kala Amb to Bag Pashtog yesterday, was found Covid positive. The employees are among the 43 persons quarantined after the report came.

Sirmaur DC RK Pruthi said a youth, who works in a factory at Naraingarh in Haryana, tested positive for Covid yesterday. He travelled back to his native Bag Pashog village in Sarahan last evening on a local bus from Naraingarh to Kala Amb. He then boarded two HRTC buses from Kala Amb to Bag Pashog. He was traced and sent to a Covid care centre at Sarahan.

As many as 43 persons, including his family members, fellow passengers, bus staff and health employees, have been quarantined.

Bag Pashog village and its adjoining areas of Kangar Dharyar, Tikkri Pajreli, Ghargon Plashon and Poghat of Bag Pashog gram panchayat have been declared a containment zone. — TNS
