The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Una, and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur, entered into a partnership to foster collaboration and incorporation of technology in the field of medicine.

According to a press release issued here by IIIT-Una, the partnership agreement was signed today in the presence of Institute Director Prof Manish Gaur and Executive Director of AIIMS-Bilaspur Dr Vir Singh Negi.  Dr Naveen Cheggoju, faculty incharge (Planning and Development) of IIIT-Una and Deans of AIIMS-Bilaspur were also present on the occasion.

According to the press release, the collaboration aims to build a strong framework for innovation and knowledge sharing. The partnership will also focus on introducing technology in medicine in the fields like the use of drone services in the healthcare sector, use of augmented virtual reality in diagnostic, surgical and clinical sectors, besides increased use of the internet in the healthcare sector, read the press release. Dr Manish Gaur said the initiative was expected to pave the way for impactful projects, benefiting both the academic community and society at large.
