IIM-Sirmaur inks pact with French business school

To promote collaborative initiatives for global academic excellence

In a major stride towards fostering international academic collaboration, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sirmaur, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Emlyon Business School, Lyon, France. This partnership aims to promote faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, Management Development Programmes (MDPs), and other collaborative academic initiatives.

The MoU was signed by Dr Isabelle Huault, president and Dean of Emlyon Business School, and Professor Prafulla Agnihotri, Director of IIM-Sirmaur. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Agnihotri stated, “This collaboration between the two esteemed institutes will open a new chapter in the Indian education sector. Together, we will deliver high-end joint MDPs in niche areas, work on consulting projects, write case studies and facilitate faculty and student exchanges.”

Renowned for its entrepreneurial focus and innovative curriculum, Emlyon Business School boasts over 150 years of academic excellence and operates across campuses in Lyon, Paris, Shanghai and Mumbai. IIM-Sirmaur, though a relatively young institute established in 2015, has emerged as one of India’s leading management institutions.

The partnership will provide a globally connected learning environment, bringing international perspectives and cross-cultural insights to students and faculty alike. The collaboration is also expected to strengthen research opportunities, skill development and leadership training, aligning IIM-Sirmaur with global standards in management education.

Dr Isabelle Huault highlighted the importance of the alliance, emphasising that such partnerships bridge geographical boundaries to create innovative educational ecosystems.
