IIM-Sirmaur launches new mgmt studies programme

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sirmaur, has announced the launch of the highly- anticipated Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) programme, a comprehensive and fully-residential four-year undergraduate course. This new offering is designed to equip students with necessary skills and knowledge to navigate and innovate within an ever-evolving socio-economic landscape.

The BMS programme, leading to an honours degree, will offer students specialised subjects in their final year and includes multiple exit options in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This flexibility allows students to tailor their educational journey according to their career aspirations and evolving interests.

The curriculum of the BMS programme at IIM-Sirmaur is both rigorous and interdisciplinary, integrating a mix of practical industry engagements, internships, research components and international exchanges. Key features include capstone projects and guest lectures from industry leaders, providing students with an experiential learning environment that bridges the gap between academic knowledge and real-world business challenges.

Open to students from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including science, commerce, and arts, the BMS programme employs a variety of teaching methods such as discussions, case studies, project work, role-plays, seminars, and management games.
