Limited to 30 participants, the 23-hour program combines self-paced online modules with an on-campus immersion at IIT-Mandi. It offers working professionals hands-on training in building and deploying AI agents across key sectors like healthcare, supply chain, and customer experience.

The initiative supports India's "AI for All" strategy by fostering a lab-to-market pipeline for AI innovation. Programme outcomes will directly benefit sectors such as healthcare, supply chain, and customer experience, with a focus on rapid, real-world deployment.

The programme aims to compress traditional 6 to12-month AI upskilling cycles into weeks, responding to industry's time-to-value pressures.

“Buzzwords can bury real breakthroughs in hype, so we’re cutting straight across the substance. This programme will show how humans and intelligent agents can team up to reinvent what’s possible—today, not someday,” said IIT-Mandi TIH CEO Somjit Amrit.

According to the institute, citing reports, India faces a projected shortfall of over 1 million AI professionals by 2027, with AI job openings expected to reach 2.3 million and demand outpacing supply by 51 per cent. The programme addresses the rising enterprise demand for rapid, ROI-driven agent deployment and helps mid-sized firms overcome in-house expertise gaps.

“This partnership bridges the AI skill gap by empowering any professional to create and deploy powerful AI agents in days, accelerating India's journey toward true AI democratization,” said Pratap Behera, co-founder and CEO, Nagent AI.
