IIT-Mandi to start MBA in AI from next semester

Prof Laxmidhar Behera, Director, IIT, Mandi, has said the IIT, Mandi, will start an MBA programme in data science and artificial intelligence.

“The two-year master’s programme will begin in the Fall Semester of 2022 and integrate contemporary management concepts, soft skills for developing individuals and a wide range of data science tools with a strong emphasis on problem-solving skills,” he added.

“The programme differs from other technology-oriented programmes by focusing on the integration of data science and artificial intelligence,” he said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
