During his interaction with the trainers, Repaswal emphasised the importance of dispelling misconceptions related to menstruation. He said outdated and unscientific beliefs had no place in today’s world, and awareness campaigns could play a critical role in overcoming these taboos.

This initiative marked a significant step in addressing menstrual health and hygiene issues in the district, aiming to empower women and adolescent girls through education and awareness, he added.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to enhance awareness activities in the district, and instructed the District Programme Officer (Women and Child Development) to develop a comprehensive action plan in this regard.
