A special court in Hamirpur has sentenced Dharmender Singh, a resident of Nathan village in Kullu district, to two years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 under the NDPS Act. The conviction follows his arrest by Barsar police on March 3, 2022, when he was caught with 468 gm of charas. Rahul Chopra, Deputy District Attorney, successfully conducted the trial on behalf of the prosecution. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional sentence as per the court’s directives.
