Dharamsala: Prof SP Bansal, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), Dharamsala, coordinated a pivotal session on “Internationalisation of Indian Higher Education” at a vice-chancellors’ conference held in Kevadia, Gujarat, yesterday. Organised by the Union Ministry of Education, the two-day conference brought together leaders from over 50 Central universities to strategise the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. New initiative by Dehra cops

Dharamsala: In a pioneering step, the Dehra police district has launched “Kanoon Vidyalaya,” a dual-purpose initiative to raise legal awareness and offer free career counselling. The campaign covers traffic rules, cyber safety, drug abuse prevention and uniquely features “Explore Your Future,” a guidance programme led by police officers including the SP, SDPOs, and Thana Prabharis. Targeted at school, college students and local youth, the initiative aims to build an informed, future-ready generation. OC

SJVN orientation programme

Shimla: The Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) organised a two-day orientation programme on “Capacity Building of CMDs and Functional Directors of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)” at Dharamsala in collaboration with the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE). The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, former Chief Justice of Uttarakhand and Telangana High Courts along with Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, and others. In his address, Sharma highlighted the crucial role of leadership in driving performance and transformation in Public Sector Enterprises. He also underlined SJVN’s commitment to capacity building.
