The influx of thousands of people from other states has left people disturbed, who fear that this may lead to spread of corona virus which till now was under control. The authorities are on their toes to gather information and keep a watch on those home-quarantined. SDMs with other officers are visiting homes of people who arrived here to see that they don’t violate home quarantine norms.

SDM Nagrota Bagwan Shashi Pal Negi today said in Nagrota Bagwan sub division 1,400 persons entered from other states and districts since April 26 and all of them have been put on home quarantine for 28 days. He said that he himself along with the team of officials today visited at least a dozen people in Nagrota Bagwan municipal area and its suburbs to check if there was any violation in home quarantine norms. Negi said surprisingly seven persons arrived here even without any curfew passes.

SDM Shahpur Jagan Thakur said that 2,364 persons arrived in Shahpur sub division during the last four days which included 80 from abroad. Tehsildar and BDO have been asked to visit those in quarantine. If there was any violation, FIR would be registered against the violators.

SDM Dehra Dhanvir Singh Thakur said that 2,545 people entered his subdivision and all have been put on home quarantine for 28 days. SDM Kangra Jatin Lal said that 351 people have arrived here and the influx of people was increasing.

Police kept patrolling on Kangra streets today to ensure that the lockdown norms were not violated.
