He also announced Rs 10 lakh for the construction of two additional rooms at the school.
The minister said that around 160 students of the school would directly benefit from the construction of these classrooms.
He said that transformative initiatives undertaken by the state government had led to remarkable improvement in educational standards. “So far, nearly 8,000 teachers in various categories have been appointed to fill long-pending vacancies in educational institutions in the state. The Shillai Assembly constituency has also benefited from these efforts, as over 200 JBT teachers and at least one TGT (Arts) have been posted in schools in the constituency. Besides, the posts of TGT (Medical) and TGT (Non-Medical), wherever required, have been filled,” he added.
Chauhan reiterated his commitment to transforming Shillai into a model constituency through continuous development efforts. “The people of Shillai are like my family and reaching out to each one of them with the benefits of development remains my top priority,” he added.
He recalled his early tenure as MLA and said that the area had very few roads at that time. “Today, every village in the constituency is connected by road, which is the lifeline of progress,” he added.
The minister announced the opening of a Primary Health Centre at Manal and Rs 5 lakh each for ambulance roads from Gawali to Demana, Juinal Pipnaur and Neda. He added that soon a bus service between Shillai and Manal would be started.
