A two-day international conference on “Technological Advancements for Sustainable Development towards Biodiversity Conservation (ICTSBC 2024)” began today at Shoolini University in association with the Zoological Society of India (ZSI) and the Indian Science Congress Association, Chandigarh Chapter.

It was inaugurated by Prof RC Sobti, former Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University, along with Chancellor Prof PK Khosla.

Prof Dheer Singh Director, ICAR-NDRI, Karnal, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Prof V Laxmi Saxena, former president, Science Congress Association, highlighted the role of innovation and technology in biodiversity conservation.

Prof BN Pandey president, Zoological Society of India, explained the importance of biodiversity conservation for food, health and energy security.
