At present, 25 inmates are lodged in the jail, out of whom 23 are undertrials and two convicts. There are no women inmates in the jail.

The jail has a capacity to accommodate 26 inmates.

Besides, new IP-based CCTV cameras will also be installed in the Mandi District Jail, Kullu, ICCC, and at Local Data Centre (LDC) at the State’s Prisons Headquarters.

For this, recently, the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services had invited e-tenders for the supply, design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of these cameras on the campus of these jails.

A spokesperson of the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services said several CCTV cameras had become outdated and several needed maintenance.
