The Cabinet today gave its approval to resume training in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) from October 1.

The decision was taken by the Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. The ITIs will function in accordance with the guidelines by the Centre.

Atal statue to come up on The Ridge

  • The Cabinet decides to rename the Ayurveda Department as Ayush Vibhag and fill 35 posts of panchkarma masseur in the Ayurveda Department
  • It also gave approval to fill seven posts of Deputy Director in the Sainik Welfare Department on a contractual basis
  • A statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee to come up on The Ridge

The Cabinet also gave approval to restore the Vidhayak Kshetra Vikas Nidhi Yojana Fund of Rs 50 lakh for 2020-21, which had been put on hold in view of Covid in April. The first instalment of Rs 25 lakh per constituency will be released in October and the second instalment after the elections to panchayati raj institutions.

A presentation was made before the Cabinet on the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state on October 3 for the inauguration of Atal Tunnel.

The Cabinet also decided to build a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on The Ridge here. It also decided to allot the work to famous sculptors Padam Shri and Padam Vibhushan awardee Ram V Sutar and Anil Sutar.

It approved the draft of a memorandum of understanding to be executed between the government and the temple trust, Chamunda, with regard to the transfer of land for lower terminal point of the Himani-Chamunda ropeway project in Kangra district.

It also decided to rename the Ayurveda Department as Ayush Vibhag and fill 35 posts of panchkarma masseur in the Ayurveda Department. It also gave its approval to fill seven posts of Deputy Director in the Sainik Welfare Department on a contract basis.
