Speaking on the occasion, Bhoranj MLA Suresh Kumar said the Nalwar Utsav at Jahu has a history spanning nearly a century. Although the tradition had been discontinued, he took the initiative to revive the festival with a fresh spirit. In earlier times, the fair was famous for trading bulls used in agriculture, with traders from Punjab and Haryana actively participating. However, with the advent of modern farming machinery, bulls have been replaced by machines and now traders in agricultural equipment attend the fair. Suresh Kumar also mentioned that development projects worth over Rs 550 crore have been sanctioned for the Bhoranj constituency, including the establishment of a sub-tehsil and an industrial area at Jahu. He expressed his gratitude to the CM for these initiatives.
