He instructed the District Tourism Development Officer and the Block Development Officer (BDO), Salooni, to ensure active participation of the local youth in tourism-related activities. He said that involving young people would not only improve facilities for visiting tourists but also create direct and indirect self-employment opportunities for the residents of the area.

Repaswal said that the BDO, Salooni, had completed the renovation of toilets, restaurants and other tourist amenities at Taleru. A parking space for around 20 vehicles had also been developed. Other tourist facilities were in progress and would be completed soon, he added.

The DC also instructed the officials concerned to strictly prohibit the use of plastic at the tourist site and strengthen cleanliness and monitoring mechanisms. He added that continuous efforts would be made to develop Taleru as a major tourist destination so that it could emerge as a well-equipped location in the district. The DC also reviewed progress on various developmental schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, shelter arrangements for disaster-affected families, e-KYC of MGNREGA job cards, Aadhaar linking with job cards and family records and the initiative to declare identified areas tobacco-free.
