A pilgrim from Jharkhand died during the yatra to the 18,570-feet high Shrikhand Mahadev temple in the district today. Hari Om (35), a native of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, collapsed due to pulmonary edema near Bhimdwar.

Nirmand SDM Manmohan Singh said that the rescue team was bringing the body to the base camp at Singhad. It is the first death during the yatra reported this year. The yatra that began on July 11 was not held for the past two years due to the Covid breakout.
