Mandi, August 10
An irrigation and water management camp was recently organised under the JICA project at Jukain village (Sarkaghat subdivision) of Mandi district.
The camp was conducted by Agricultural Extension Officers Nishant Parashar and Nivesh Thakur.
During the camp, detailed information was provided about various activities under the project, including the construction of water channels (kuls), water storage tanks and micro-irrigation systems.
The officials said the project offered a 50 per cent subsidy on agriculture equipment such as power weeders, power tillers and brush cutters.
The camp also covered aspects of farm mechanisation, providing insights into power tillers, power weeders, chaff cutters and toolkits.
As many as 40 participants attended the camp.
