Job fair at Captain Vikram Batra Govt College witnesses high participation

The Career Counselling Guidance and Placement Cell of Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Government College, Palampur, organised a successful job fair for final-year college students on Saturday. More than 15 companies took part in the event, aimed at hiring final-year students from both the host college and its cluster colleges.

Human Resource managers from several renowned companies, including CS Soft Solutions, Aayush Herbs, Just Dial, Paytm, Siddhi Infonet, Airtel, Frankfinn, Axis Bank, VS Global, Transcom, Subros India, Pluto Tours World, HDFC and many others, travelled from various locations to recruit final-year students. The event also received sponsorship from multiple organisations. Out of 800 online registrations, over 400 students attended the interviews, and 147 students were successfully selected by different companies.

Dr Shailza Vasudeva, the convener and organising secretary of the job fair, provided a brief introduction to the participating organisations and highlighted the importance of hosting such events in her welcoming speech. Principal Prof Pankaj Sood, in his inaugural address, underscored the significance of these job fairs and wished the students success in their future endeavours. At the end of the event, offer letters were distributed to the selected students by Prof Pankaj Sood.
