Education Minister Rohit Thakur has expressed confidence that Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai constituency will become a leading hub for sports in the near future. While visiting Thakur Ram Lal Government Senior Secondary School Sports Hostel (Girls) in Jubbal, the minister emphasised the significance of sports in a student’s life, stating that it not only improves physical health but also fosters healthy competition and overall development.

He highlighted the government’s efforts to provide quality education and promote sports, with nine sports hostels across the state, including the school in Jubbal. He said the sports hostel at the school was established in 1987. It initially offered volleyball training, but included kabaddi and badminton over a period of time.

Thakur wished the students well and expressed hope that they would excel in their future endeavors and bring glory to Jubbal. He distributed sports kits to the students, encouraging them to pursue their passion for sports. Thakur also met with the school principal and teachers to review the school’s activities and directed them to take effective steps for the institution’s progress.

On the occasion, he also inaugurated a footpath from the school to Jubbal bus stand.
