The State Teacher’s Award for 2025 will be conferred on September 5, in line with the tradition of celebrating Teachers’ Day. The Directorate of School Education has sought applications from eligible teachers, headmasters and principals for the award.

The interested candidates can apply for the award or they can be nominated by others. The applications must be submitted in hard copy, using the prescribed proforma to the concerned Deputy Director of Elementary Education by July 15, 2025.

The department has also prepared detailed guidelines of the award scheme, which is available on its website http://himachal.nic.in/dse website. The Directorate has urged all those concerned to ensure timely submission of nominations and to adhere to the prescribed procedure.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
