In a move to boost educational infrastructure, Jwalamukhi MLA Sanjay Ratan laid the foundation stone for an additional building at Government Senior Secondary School, Chaukath. The project, undertaken under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan at a cost of Rs 45.80 lakh, is expected to be completed in four months.

The upcoming facility will house four key rooms—a Library, Science Lab, Art & Craft Room, and Computer Room—aimed at enriching the learning experience. Speaking at the event, MLA Ratan highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening basic amenities in schools, including clean water, electricity, and well-equipped classrooms.

He praised the strong performance of local students in the recent class 12 board exams and urged parents to consider government schools, citing the qualifications and dedication of government teachers.
