This internal ranking by the state government has been declared on the lines of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is based on a self-assessment report submitted by each of the 141 colleges of Himachal Pradesh and inspection visits by teams constituted by the Directorate of Higher Education for verification.

In addition to securing first position among Tier-3 colleges, the Kaffota college has also secured commendable 28th rank in the overall ranking of 141 colleges of the state. It secured 851 marks out of 1,100 to make the cut.

Since the current number of students in the college is only 180, this achievement is significant. Principal Dr Kuldeep Singh, who is an international athletics referee, said the coordinator of the college’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Ranking Committee, Dr Nalin Ramaul and Assistant Coordinator Prof Rinku Agarwal have played an important role in this process.

The college staff, including Vikram Thakur, Dinesh Kumar, Sumitra, Raveena, Aniket, Vipin, Dinesh Pundir, Rahul and Vikesh, also contributed significantly towards this achievement, said the Principal.

The Principal also appreciated the important contribution of the students and the non-teaching staff for

this achievement.
