The land for the project has been selected, and all necessary approvals have been secured. Officials have indicated that construction work will commence shortly, with preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony already underway.
The substation, which will be built at a cost of Rs 15 crore, will have a capacity of 20 MVA. It will be connected to the Andheri grid, ensuring reliable power supply to the industrial zones of Khairi and Johad along with several nearby villages. The project aims to address the persistent power supply issues that have been affecting both residential and commercial consumers in the area.

Superintending Engineer Darshan Singh confirmed the developments, stating, “The land for the substation in Mirpur village has been finalised. We will soon conduct the groundbreaking ceremony and begin construction work. This initiative will go a long way in resolving the electricity issues in the area.”
