During the meeting, officials from various departments —Health, Jal Shakti, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Industries, Animal Husbandry, Education, Social Welfare, Panchayati Raj, Public Works, and Labour — presented detailed progress reports of their respective departments.
The committee reviewed the progress of key schemes such as the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), PMGSY, KUSUM, NRLM, Social Security Pension, and Women and Child Development programmes.
Kangana Ranaut directed officials to ensure timely delivery of welfare schemes to all beneficiaries with transparency and efficiency. She emphasised on improving rural drinking water and healthcare facilities, strengthening education, sanitation and road connectivity, and advancing women and child welfare initiatives.
Highlighting the importance of the holistic education, the MP said learning should focus not only on academics, but also on sports, arts and life skills to build confident future leaders. She also stressed on promoting local handicrafts, dairy and traditional products through e-commerce platforms for better market access.
The MP reviewed the progress made since the previous DISHA meeting and urged departments to come prepared with comprehensive reports for the next session. She also appreciated efforts of all officials and stakeholders.
