On the first day alone, the police issued 31 challans for rash and negligent driving and eight challans for triple riding on two-wheelers. Emphasising the goal of the campaign, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shalini Agnihotri said it aims to promote public awareness and ensure strict compliance with traffic rules.

“The campaign will focus not only on routine violations but also on serious offences such as drunk driving, rash/negligent driving, triple riding, over-speeding, riding without a helmet, driving without a licence, vehicles without number plates and other forms of dangerous driving,” SP Agnihotri said.

She said in the coming days, the campaign will intensify and stricter action will be taken against habitual and serious offenders.
