The Kar Sewa Dal organisation, Kullu, was honoured with a state-level commendation certificate during an event organised by Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Shimla, to mark the sacred 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. The award was presented at the historic Ridge Ground, Shimla, by the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla.

The recognition was conferred upon the organisation in appreciation of its tireless humanitarian and social service efforts over the past 27 years in Kullu district, where the organisation has undertaken more than 40 welfare and community initiatives benefitting people across diverse sections of society.

The ceremony began with the formal inauguration by the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Several eminent dignitaries, including former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Member of Parliament Pratibha Singh and PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, graced the occasion. Also in attendance were senior government officials, members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) such as Dr Daljit Singh Bhinder and prominent religious preachers and leaders.

For the members and volunteers of Kar Sewa Dal Sanstha, Kullu, the state-level recognition stands as a moment of immense pride. The honour not only acknowledges their long-standing dedication to community welfare but also serves as an inspiration to continue their mission of selfless service in the spirit of Guru Nanak’s teachings of compassion, equality and humanity.
