Karva Chauth special: 10% discount for stay at Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation hotels; free 'sargi' and 'puja thali'

The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) will offer a 10 per cent discount to couples staying at its hotels on October 9 and 10 to mark the Karva Chauth festival.

Women observing the fast will receive a free ‘sargi’ and ‘puja thali’, while other essential items required for the ritual will be made available on payment. A special 'Vrat Thali' will also be provided to women after breaking the fast on the night of October 10, HPTDC General Manager Anil Taneja said.

He said Karva Chauth is a special occasion for women, and the corporation aims to make it even more memorable. “Couples will get a 10 per cent discount at all HPTDC hotels, and free Sargi and Puja Thali will be provided to women observing the fast. All necessary arrangements will be made to ensure their comfort,” he said.

The tourism corporation official said this initiative was part of its efforts to combine hospitality with traditional celebrations and attract more visitors during the festive season.
