A day after taking charge as the state Congress president, Vinay Kumar today said that key responsibilities in the party at the state, district and block level will be given to those individuals who can dedicate full time to organisational work and have the ability to take everyone along. “The dedicated party workers, including youth and women, will be given special consideration while handing our responsibilities,” he said, adding that he will soon hold a meeting with senior party leaders and workers to discuss the strategy for the organisation.

The newly-appointed party president expressed his gratitude to all senior party leaders, including Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, AICC in-charge for Himachal Rajni Patil, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, former state presidents, ministers and others for attending the function, where he took over as the new party president. He assured that he would work shoulder to shoulder with senior leaders and party workers to strengthen the party and take the policies of the government to the masses.

Kumar called on the party workers to participate enthusiastically in the Congress’s Jan Sankalp Sammelan to be held in Mandi on December 11, marking the third anniversary of the state government’s rule. “The government’s public welfare decisions of the past three years and its vision for the next two years will be presented to the public at this event. So, the party workers should bring in maximum people to the event,” he said.
