Shimla, December 10

The Himachal Kisan Sabha will tomorrow celebrate in rural parts of the state the victory of farmers, who will return home from Delhi borders after over a year-long agitation. “The 380-day agitation is the longest one held in the recent times. The struggle and the unity of farmers forced the government to retract,” said Himachal Kisan Sabha president Kuldeep Tanwar.

He said the Himachal Kisan Sabha through its volunteers would tell the villagers of the state about the unprecedented struggle of farmers. “Everyone must know what the struggle has achieved, and what remains to be accomplished. The battle has been won, but the war continues,” he said. “In HP, too, farmers are facing several issues. The success of the farmers’ agitation will inspire them to fight for their rights,” he said.
