Kullu man held with 4.14 gm heroin in Theog
One person was arrested with 4.14 grams of ‘chitta’ (heroin) in Theog subdivision of Shimla district, the police said here yesterday. The accused was identified as Surender Thakur (26), a resident of Byuni village in Nirmand tehsil of Kullu district.
The accused was stopped for checking by the police team patrolling near the Janog Ghat area. During the checking, the police recovered the contraband from his possession and arrested him.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Theog, Siddharth Sharma confirmed the report and said that a case under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDSP) Act had been registered against the accused at Theog police station. “Further investigation in the case is underway,” he added.
