Mandi SP Sakshi Verma confirmed the arrest. The operation was conducted by ASI Rajan Singh and his team. Aut Police in-charge Karan Singh stated that efforts to curb drug trafficking are being intensified.

The arrest is part of a troubling trend in the Kullu-Manali area. Recent seizures include 44.92 grams from a youth in Manali, 58 grams from two individuals at 16 Mile and 24.70 grams from a 14-year-old in Prini. Authorities say peddlers are exploiting tourist inflows, and even minors are being drawn into smuggling.
