The body of a 21-year-old labourer was found in a waste water storage tank of a pharmaceutical industry in the Nariwala area of Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district this morning. On getting information, the police reached there and sent the body for a post-mortem.
The deceased has been identified as Sonu Chaudhary (21), a resident of Basantpur in Lakhimpur-Khiri district of Uttar Pradesh. Sonu’s co-workers alleged that he died due to the negligence of the industry.
In-charge of Puruwala police station Rajesh Kumar said that a case had been registered under Section 336 and 304-A of the IPC against the unit management for causing death due to negligence. The cause of the death was being investigated.
