As per the police, a case under Sections 329(3), 116(2), 127(2), 134, 140(3) and 191(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023 has been registered against crusher owner Teja Singh on the complaint of Varinder Sharma.

Nurpur DSP Vishal Verma said the accused had a land dispute with the complainant. Varinder Sharma said he had procured a stay order from the court restricting the accused from carrying out mining activities on the land in question. The complainant said yesterday afternoon, while he was filming the alleged act of the crusher owner’s machinery being used for illegal mining on his land, Teja Singh, along with his five aides, reached the spot. He alleged that Teja Singh kidnapped him and took him to his stone crusher, where he was beaten up and locked in a room.

The DSP said the Indora police had started investigation in the matter.
