Responding swiftly, a team of forest officials, led by Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Amit Sharma, coordinated with wildlife experts and a veterinarian team from Gopalpur Zoo, Palampur. The veterinarian team, headed by Dr Nitin, tranquilised the cub to safely free it from the barbed wire.

According to DFO Sharma, the leopard sustained only minor injuries and was given primary medical treatment before being kept under observation for a few hours. Once declared healthy, the cub was released back into its natural habitat later that evening.

Forest officials praised the timely response of villagers and the coordinated efforts of the rescue teams, which ensured the young leopard’s safe return to the wild.
