The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh received another spell of fresh snowfall on Saturday with light rain likely to occur in few districts throughout the day.

As per the state's meteorological department, Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti and higher reaches of Shimla and Mandi districts could receive light snowfall.

Similarly, light rain is very likely to occur at few places in Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur and at isolated areas of Solan and Sirmaur districts.

Meanwhile, traffic on the National Highway-5, from Shimla to Rampur, has been diverted with fresh snowfall in Shimla’s Narkanda.

A district administration spokesperson said that keeping in view heavy snowfall in Narkanda region and snow accumulation on NH-5 and in order to ensure safety of commuters, traffic has been diverted from Sainj to Shimla via Luhri/Sunni.
