Dharamsala, January 21

Upper areas of Dharamsala received heavy snowfall today. Naddi, Dharamkot and Upper Bhagsu areas were under six inches snow. Popular tourist destination McLeodganj also witnessed snow. Most of the roads to the destinations were blocked due to heavy snow.

Locals rushed to Naddi to enjoy the snow, the heaviest of the season that Dharamsala received today. Even the lower hills in Dharamsala wore a white mantle.Heavy snowfall the region brought down day the time temperatures. The lower region of Dharamsala received heavy rainfall forcing people to remain indoors. Experts, however, said the rain in January were beneficial for crops.
